Birthday Jewellery

From my lovely father and step-mother

silver jewellery from LA Jewellery via Adili

Pieces are handmade in Wales and packaged in recycled packaging.  As much silver as possible is recycled and reused (that makes economic sense as much as anything else) and I believe the owner does try to buy recycled silver where possible.

Ethletic

As if my lovely new Veja trainers weren’t enough, I’ve also this week indulged in this lovely pair of Ethletic ‘converses’ made by Fair Deal Trading.

Fair Deal are stalwarts of the fair trade movement and, as you’d expect, they know their stuff. As well as trading fairly there’s also a fair trade premium paid for both materials and production and the latex is FSC certified.

As importantly they’re also very cool. I’ve never owned a pair of converse so I do rather feel as if I’m reliving some teenage years I never had. (I now own a denim jacket for the first time as well – acquired in a clothes swap last year.)

I bought these from the lovely Penny at Equa in London (Camden Passage) but they’ll also be coming soon to Adili

My gorgeous new purchase.  A pair of Veja trainers (only mine have a green V).  Organic cotton, fair trade rubber, made in a co-operative in Brazil….how ethical can you get.

Available from Adili.
